The purpose of a
‘Go Local’ day is that you get to like Budapest, meet and chat with
locals who know and love the city.
Underguides lead you to off-track places they like the most:
districts, markets, restaurants, shops, bars, streets, buildings,
parks, exhibitions, fishing places by the Danube, wine-cellars,
stables, climbing rocks, moto-cross tracks or even an airport for
tandem jumping…wherever it’s worth or you like to, and where we know
everyone from abroad is welcome but not considered as a tourist!
None of ‘Go Local’ days
are the same:
your underguide will be full of ideas when you meet, and by the
breakfast coffee you’ll work out together what you’re interested in
the city, what you’ve seen or missed. Nothing is obligatory: you’ll
decide about your day together.
No set timing:
your underguide has one day for making you know and like our beloved
Budapest – it’s absolutely up to you how much time you give him/her
for that. The ‘Go Local’ day is a one-day program, without set
timing, so you can use this day as you wish: from the morning till
the evening, running into each from time to time, only from the
afternoon…as you like the best: your underguide would have things to
show you all day long!
The
underguides are more than tourist guides, they are real Budapest
lovers. Fortunately, there are many of
them and speak several language: English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Finnish and many other exotic languages.
The underguides
try basically to involve you into the average local life: on foot and
using the public transport, drinking and eating in places where they
normally do. Nevertheless, some of them are also ready to show you
into the mystery of exclusive local life, or the ‘lowest-budget’
places – in the case of this kind of request please indicate it to
our coordinator! (e.g. car rent, ship excursion, sightseeing by bike
or saqway, etc)

25 Euro /person/day
( join a team of 4-5 travellers and an underguide)
Free under the age of 14
or 110 Euro / day (an underguide for you and your travel mates)
